Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is perhaps my favourite of all Metal Gear Games. So naturally, I had to have the soundtrack.
When I got it I was amazed at the amount of tracks it came with! Pretty much every track is on there. One thing I listen to time and again is those cool healing tracks.
But I was slightly disappointed by something...
With every track on every other Metal Gear soundtrack what you hear in the game is exactly what they put on the disc, no messing around. But why oh why they decided to alter some of the tracks for the Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Soundtrack is beyond me. Take Track 5 on disc 1 for example: they have taken that great 'Caution Phase' music from the outdoor segments of the game, and mixed just 50 seconds of it up with other pieces -why???
I suppose it's just me being fussy, but I like my tracks pure.
However, it is still one heck of a soundtrack and definitely recommend it if you're a die-hard Metal Gear fan like myself!

Harry Gregson-Williams has done it again, first with MGS2 and now this. Harry and the other talented artists have given it that feel of MGS. The 43 tracks that are found in the game are all well done, its the little things that I feel that bring the music alive and shout out "This is MGS music!"

I buyed this soundtrack 6 days before MGS3 got released in Denmark and it's one hell of a soundtrack the music is very good but there are two numbers that arént on the soundtrack and that's the Alert and Envasion music but the dosént matter to me since i downloaded the Alert and Envasion music.
It's a good soundtrack and i remmonced anyone to buy this soundtrack but be aware this Soundtrack is from Japan so you can't use the special camoflage disc for the USA or UK version of MGS3
