Gillian Weir stands head and shoulders above the others when it comes to interpreting messiaen and proves it with these collected works. The choice of instrument is important as the music has to come through whether chordal, mesmeric, fast-moving or loud or soft. Achieving this is always difficult with Messiaen's organ music. Having chosen the instrument carefully, Weir then goes on to show how all of the music can be played with virtuosity, sensitivity and depth. There is soemthing to fit every mood here also and the rcording quality is very good when compared with the competitors. Well worth the money!
