Format:Board book
What an absolutely fantastic book. My two children 3 and 18 months adore it. We always have to read it twice before going to bed. This book is not for the boring, it has to be read in an exagerrated and animated way. BANG around CRASH, THUMP, STOMP the kids love it, so do I. It gives me great artistic licence and it also has the added effect of making the boys look after their toys and putting them away. If they dont they know the 'Mess Monsters' will be watching!!
Anything that's helps kids tidy and look after their toys can't be bad.
Enjoy - I did, and I've even made it a staple for prezzies when the kids get invited to Birthday Parties.

A really nice colourful, well illustrated board book - in my little ones sack for christmas. I think she will enjoy listening to the story and the rhyme. Just the right size for little hands.

My mother bought this book for my three year old son. The story is about a child who doesn't want to tidy their room until they meet the Mess Monsters! The moral of the story is obvious and simple which is easy for little children to understand. The front cover is colourful and attractive to the eye, my son certainly thought it looked interesting as he wanted to read it for his bedtime story the same day he got it. Now we read it about three times at bedtime and sometimes during the day. My son loves the pictures (illustrated by Piers Harper) of the monsters, the various toys and the rhymes especially the action words such as SMASHED, CRASHED, JUMPED and CLOBBERED. This is a story to be read in a larger than life way - enjoyable for both the adult and child. Despite being the paperback version the material used for the book is of good quality and has good durability. It contains 24 pages which seems to suit my son's attention span well. Not too long nor too short. I don't know how much my mother paid for the book but the amazon price is good value for money. I would recommend this book to anyone with young children.

bit thin on content
quite fun but a bit simple. drawings are good, and I think that there was some attempt to make it appeal to both sexes but it seems more suitable for boys.
