Lin's text presents an extremely well-written discussion of myriad atmospheric phenomena that maintains mathematical and physical rigor. This text was used by a great meteorologist for a graduate course on advanced dynamics I took in 2009. Highly recommended for those demanding a deeper understanding of how the atmosphere works whether for personal enjoyment, research necessity, or some combination of the two.
