This was the first book I bought for my kindle. After the end of Merlin Season 4 (On TV), I decided to purchase this ebook, because this book is based on my favourite episodes from Season 2. I really enjoyed this book, as it included more detail than the episode. Also, although it kept close to the storyline, it didn't feel like it was an exact retelling. This was good, though, because the author added extra parts, which made sure you weren't watching/reading the same thing twice.
The description was fantastic, and I loved the way the banter between Merlin and Arthur was worded. Also, the characters were easy to picture, along with the setting, but this may have been due to the fact that I had watched the story on TV. However, I still think anyone would enjoy this book, even if they don't watch Merlin.
I found the storyline very gripping, due to the tension created throughout the book. The plot was also quite fast-paced, which made sure you didn't get bored half way through the story. Before, I've found historical fiction very tiresome, but I feel the whole Merlin series of books puts a unique twist on the Arthurian legend.
Overall, this is an excellent book. I've read three other books from the series, and I'm hoping to read them all.

Product arrived in time for Christmas, was of good quality and as expected. My 11 year old loves the tv series and enjoyed the book.
