Format:DVD
This DVD is only suitable for the Merle Haggard fan who has not been fortunate enough to see him live in concert . The transition from VHS tape to DVD is not worth the trouble as it lacks good sound and picture. It just does not do him or the Strangers justice. The picture suffers from beading across the top and the sound lacks punch and definition.
If you want to see and hear an example of the mans undoubted ability with voice, guitar and violin, buy a video and use the money saved to buy a CD.
The biography is just pages of writing and would have been much easier to read had they been included in a booklet. The actual information supplied with the disc is minimal to say the least.
It realy is a good example of wasting any, or all, of the advantages of the DVD medium for entertainment.

Merle Haggard at his best!!!! It doesnt get eny better than this. A great band, a voice that is just right. With Merle its nothing spectacular, its the music that it is focus. He doesn`t hardly talk between the songs, so its not a tell it all concert, but its great. I loved it. Some new songs, and a lot of old songs, and a great impersonation of Willie Nelson! I have played about a hundred times since I got, and you will too. This one, you just gotta have. Thats all I have to say about that...
