Very Nice Blades 8 Jun 2009
By C. Carr
Sorry if this sounds like a 5 year old but it's my first review.

I have been struggling to get a decent shave for years and had looked into purchasing this style of razor a few years back. Recently saw a couple of videos on YouTube about shaving which suggested these blades as a good choice and I have not been disappointed. They are very well made, come individually wrapped and are very nice to use. I would go for these if you aren't very sure how to start. I would also suggest that anyone suffering with poor quality multi-bladed wet shave systems give them up and give this a go. I am amazed at how close a shave I can get and I actually enjoy the process, radio on, cup of tea, peace and quiet in the bathroom.

Overall, very good and well priced blades...

I have compared these to Gillette and Feather blades. While Merkur are not as crazy sharp as Feather, they are better than Gillette from the start and, most importantly, maintain a good smooth edge *much much* longer than either Feather or Gillette. I could use Merkur for almost a week without cutting or scratching myself while Feather lost its super-sharp edge on Day 3 and Gillette became dangerous even on Day 2.
The Merkur feel much more 'neutral' on the skin while Feather and Gillette become very difficult to handle and irritating when sharpness decreases. The Merkur also 'forgive' occasional technical flaws in your shaving technique much more than the Feather (which just cut wherever you push them).

Great sharp blades 21 Dec 2009
I've just started with wet shaving and trying a bunch of different blades out to see what suits me best. The feather blades I find a bit too sharp and you have to be an expert with your techniques. These last longer and are more "forgiving", but crucially almost as sharp. You really can't go wrong with Merkur blades to match your Merkur DE razor!

Sharp
If you wet shave these are great, very sharp, they do the job nicely. A 10 pack should last a while.

Bought these blades to follow the one which came as standard in my Merkur Futur razor and produced a fine result, they are sharp but not overly so and last well. Read more

Great Razors...average blades.
Merkur make great razors but their blades are average to say the least. Why this should be the case, I don't know. They tend to nick and don't give a smooth shave. Read more

Make the change. Make it now.
After 10 years of wasting money on various multi-bladed consumerism gimmicks I had enough and decided to go old school. Read more

Not bad
These blades are not bad, not as good as my Wilkinson sword blades.
These don't seem to cut cleanly and they pull the hair slightly.
I wont be buying these again
