I bought this book to help with my 93 220TE but found that Haynes do not acknowledge the existence of a 220.
Information is also sketchy in important areas; for example the chapter on Fuel Systems lists two different types of fuel injection, but provides no listing of which system is fitted to which model, nor does it show clear pictures or drawings of the complete systems to help the reader decide. In addition, although one of the systems is covered in a reasonable level of detail, the other receives only cursory mention.
The electrical chapter is also disappointing as it folows the format used by Haynes in many of their recent manuals whereby they provide only a summary of the systems. The older style of providing many pages of similar and sometimes blurred diagrams may have been confusing, but at least most of the information was there, provided you were willing to persist. In this case it is impossible to trace cables, as only certain sections are shown.
A typical example: don't lose the insert card from your fusebox as there is no listing of the fuses fitted to any of the models.
In summary: the basic info for many jobs is there hence 3 stars, but the editing is sloppy and many of the descriptions are inadequate. Disappointing and definitely not worth getting if you have a 220.
