My son has just bought himself his first Mercedes and as he is something of a petrolhead, I was looking for a book on this particular marque as a Christmas present. This book seemed to fit the bill, not too "techie" with a good history. I was not disappointed, it has some beautiful photographs of the various models with well presented profiles and histories. It is a must for connoisseurs of Mercedes-Benz. The item arrived within 5 days of order - excellent service. I would have no hesitation in recommending either the book or the seller.

I was hoping that it would be in a definite chronological order, but it doesn't follow a strict timeline. However, after my initial confusion, I found that this history of Mercedes-Benz is pretty well detailed, with some excellent photography.
And a few surprises too. I never realised that Mercedes made the prototype Beetle before VW pretty much snatched the whole thing away the following year!!
A good purchase.

A Mercedes coffee table book if it were bigger.

Mercedes-Benz gives a general overview of the history of these cars and the company. The book is logically laid out and is well illustrated, but many of the photos we have seen before in other Dennis Adler books. There is little depth to the text and many common models are omitted completely. It makes a fine pocket book with pretty pictures
