Accompanying the book is an audio CD containing all six tests. The recording features questions with specific times allowed for pupils to answer them, just as the pupils will have when they take the real test.


About the Author

Andrew Brodie was a headteacher for twelve years. He still teaches on a regular basis, specialising in mathematics. He has published over 70 educational books.

I bought this to improve my year 4's mental maths test scores as their mental calculations were good, but they lacked practice on the test and often under performed. The results were excellent. I did one a week in the last term leading up to their QCA's and I saw a real improvement in their technique as they were familiar with the layout and the speed. Having the CD made a real difference too. I just wish there were more than 10!

Perfect for helping your class to preapre for SATs. There is a good mix of questions and it is as close to the real thing as I have found anywhere.
