This is a must for all Year 3 teachers. This book closely follows the requirements for the National Numeracy Strategy. In addition it provides a variety of investigation and extension activities which inspire my planning.
The short and succinct nature of the activities included in this book make them ideal for this primary age. As well as providing a wealth of ideas which can be adpated for a variety of ability levels.
I have found this book a valuable addition to my numeracy teaching resources.

These questions and problems are kind of interesting but they are _not_ mental maths material, it's pencil and paper stuff really.

Big fan of mental maths especially open ended questions. ...I support the idea of "sharpening minds not pencils"
