Format:Spiral-bound
These offer a real challenge. If I'd known just how complicated some of the puzzles could be I might have thought twice, but then I'd have missed the fun of completing them. All the books (levels 1 - 3) were delivered together, quickly and well protected against damage. Each level is well worth buying if the usual compilations are losing their edge and proving to be less enjoyable. Be prepared to re-awaken the addiction that brought you thus far! There's also a companion volume to help you master the techniques you need to solve the puzzles. The ideal package for the dedicated Sudoku addict, especially with Christmas on the way.

Having done lots of sudoku in the Telegraph and the Times, I was looking for something more challenging. With descriptions like 'nasty' and 'Mensa' I thought this was going to be it, but if this is Mensa level then my IQ must be higher than I thought! These puzzles in Book 1 are equivalent in difficulty to the Times 'Fiendish' puzzles, so if you're looking for something more difficult than those - don't buy this one

It's difficult to find sudoku books where the puzzles are all hard, usually there's a range of difficulty and three quarters of the book is wasted if you like a challenge. I've tried up to number 24 in this book and have only completed 4 so far. That's how I like it. I can always go back and try again, but if the puzzles ae too easy it's not at all satisfying. Highly recommended.

Not so Nasty after all!
Plenty of brain teasers here and some will give you trouble but Level 1 isn't really as nasty as the blurb on the back leads you to believe. Read more
