Flawed 30 April 2005

Format:Paperback
A bit dissapointing, i thought that this book would contain a comprehensive list of illustrated exercises with some information on nutrition for the three workout (bulk / cut and hybrid) plans, but what i found was that each workout program consisted of nothing that the average gym-goer wouldn;t already know. It is quite one dimensional, Evans has clearly had results with his program (although we are left to wonder how much of it is down to steroid use, of which his token chapter says very little) but for myself, standind at 5'11" and 160Ilbs (aged 19) the information is a bit flawed: a suggestion of 1600 calories as a basic need is ridiculous.
The chapters in this book also confused me, with seemingly no logic in his going from one topic straight into another. What was useful in this book were some of the suggestions on exercise intensity, drop sets, negative reps and muscle contraction, but this is let down by the rest of the book. Buy a decent Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding and devise your own program: you know your own body better than Evans and that is this books fatal flaw: a single program for everybody? Unlikeliy.
