Really Helpful 2 Aug 2009
Format:Paperback
This book provided clear, concise and straightforward information on the menopause, what to expect and how to treat troublesome symptoms. I feel much more prepared and know where to go for further help, as there are many useful references and web links in the book. Forewarned is forearmed as they say and it's good to know about all aspects of the menopause, positives and negatives ! Thanks Caroline - I won't hesitate to seek help if and when I need it !

Positive thinking 25 Aug 2010
By vindiva
Format:Paperback
My husband bought me this book yesterday after having suffered a month of me realising I was 'changing'. I had been spotting symptons after reading information on the internet, and was feeling very negative about the whole process. This book has helped me in the course of just one evening to reassess the whole idea of the (peri)menopause with helpful, down to earth information and suggestions. I already feel much more positive and will endeavour to follow the sound advice to 'take control, see this time as an opportunity, and keep a sense of perspective'.
However, the best bit for me was the advice to bounce - I have always wanted a trampoline and bought myself one a couple of weeks ago - this book backed up my decision! I would highly recommend both the book AND the trampoline!

Incredibly helpful 21 Jun 2010
Format:Paperback
A very useful format, you need only refer to the chapers that are relevant to you at the time. The chapter on hormones abd glands was very useful.
The upbeat tone of the book was great.

OK but not particularly helpful
I didn't find this book particularly helpful. It was very simplistic and there wasn't a lot of practical tips or things that I expected like realistic dietary advice. Read more

Scintillating to read, lots of info plus real case studies
I found this book really helpful as it has information over lots of areas and has down-earth-advice. You don't usually find all these in one book altogether.
