This is a wonderful recording of Mendelssohn's Octet.

The Octet was written when Mendelssohn was only 16, in 1825. Its a remarkable work, assured and vibrant. This recording really captures this, and manages to convey both lightness and vibrancy, in a seemingly effortless performance.

Simply Amazing.

In Mendelssohn's Octet, as a performer there are technical limits that are rarely reached. This performance leaves these limits in the dust. Great playing all around (the cellos are especially impressive in the Octet's final movement)

A Must buy.
