Amazon.co.uk Review

The Adventures of Little Miss Scatterbrain is a simple point-and-click puzzle-solving game that children of 4-8 years will enjoy. Like The Adventures of Mr Tickle and The Adventures of Mr. Greedy, it's set in the Mr Men village where there's trouble afoot.

The story goes like this. Although it's clearly morning, the sun hasn't risen and the village is in darkness. Normally Little Miss Magic would be able to sort things out but she's lost her wand and left her book of spells with Miss Scatterbrain who, true to her name, can't find it. The action begins in the village square where you have to help Miss Somersault catch fireflies to help brighten up the village so people can see where they're going-–this is an arcade-style game that involves clicking on fireflies as they pop up randomly on the screen with the mouse. Then, you go with Miss Scatterbrain back to her house where you use the mouse to search through her kitchen for the lost spell-book (it makes a special sound that will help you) and finally you have to find the happiest Mr Man to recite the spell to bring the sun back. After that, there's still the question of Miss Magic's missing wand which involves finding a bucket, some water, magic paint, Mr Tickle and all sorts of other stuff.

There are two levels of difficulty so it's easy for younger kids to get into, but it's nevertheless complicated enough for the older age groups. And it's charming with it. --Rob Beattie

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap but NOT worth the money 15 Sept. 2004
By A Customer
I bought this for my four year old. He was very excited as he very much likes Mr Men and Little Miss Adventures. However it was a complete disappointment for him. It was so easy. He completed it in less than an hour and was not at all thrilled by it's contents. The animation was very basic and the introductions and instructions were very long and laborious. It is very limited and have few interaction sections for the child. My son has played it only once and has never picked it up again. A big let down. I cannot understand how it is labelled for 4-8 year olds. The four year olds will most certainly find it slow and unexciting. The 5-8 year olds will feel insulted by its lack of contents.

My daughter loved this game. She played it every day as she couldn't get enough of it. Mr Men and Little Miss games are great for young minds, teaching them to memorise things as well as learning literacy and numeracy. My daughter had lots of fun and laughter with this game. I would recommend it to anyone.
