What do Sir James Simpson, discoverer of chloroform, Henri Dunant, founder of the Red Cross, and Tsar Alexander I, have in common? They were all men who put their faith in Jesus Christ.
What drove these men? Or what enabled these men to do what they did, to withstand the pressures they faced? Or in the case of Alves Reis, what changed a notorious counterfeiter who took over an entire country, what changed him into an upright, honest follower of Jesus Christ?
Read these accounts and see the God who works behind the scenes of history.

With many illustrations this well written book provides spiritual snapshots of a number of famous historical figures. Through everything the effect Jesus Christ has on lives shines through.

This book would make an ideal present for anyone wanting to know if Christianity actually makes a positive impact on people and the world. It is an ideal antidote to New Atheist attitudes that Christianity is of no benefit to society. I will be recommending it to my church.
