4.0 out of 5 stars a good read, 17 Sep 2008

I picked this up at Waterstones but wasn't familiar with O'Connell's show. Flicked through and found myself buying one-- definitely one for the guys, lough out loud funny at times with some decent games and of course 'the men commandments'. I'd say an ideal choice for a christmas present.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly funny , 17 Sep 2008
I don't listen to Virgin so didn't really know what to expect but it actually made me laugh. It's not going to win the booker but there's lots of funny bits and it solved an argument between me and my girlfriend - no, dreams are not interesting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very funny, what on earth is "Joe" talking about?, 18 Sep 2008

Some people who are witty and funny on TV/Radio write books that are the complete opposite. Christian hasn't. He's carried his humour and wit over in to this book, and if you know Christian from the radio, you won't be disappointed. If you aren't a listener, this would make you tune in. It's a refreshing take in a media world of metrosexuals, where hand cream is used to actually moisturise men's cuticles. I really enjoyed this book, and yes, some of it we know (whether we are male or female) but Christian gives an amusing take on it all, and it certainly brings a wry smile to your face, and some laugh out loud moments. Being a girl, it's certainly enlightening; if you are a girl who enjoys reading your boyfriend's GQ, you'll enjoy this book. If that's not your bag, this is a brilliant present... for any man in your life.
