For an overall guide to memory and the way in which the theory of memory is advancing, this is an excellent starter covering a broad range of topics. Split into easy to digest sections based on different ideas behind memory, any particular facet of memory is easy to find. The book is easy to read, and contains lots of examples of studies to exemplify the points made. Whilst the detail included is not as in depth as would be necessary for many uses, and extra books would be required on specific areas. Despite this, as an overview you can't go wrong using this book.
