This is such a brilliant book - great for using at circle time to prompt discussion of children's own memories or create a basis for a written task along this line. It is written in such a gentle and intriguing way that I just love reading it every time.
Definitely recommended, for parents but especially for early years and KS1 teachers!

Lovely story 27 Feb 2010
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Lovely story which prompted children to talk in detail about what they would put in their own 'memory bottles'. We made a gorgeous display as a result. Basically the story is about a man describing his memories to a young boy, each of which he 'keeps' in a bottle. Of course the ememory of the day he spends talking about these memories goes into the last bottle of all!

From the title and cover was expecting an interesting book and story. The start was nice with the 'wonder what's in the shed' thing but then it just became dull, repetitive and uninspired so was very disappointed. Would give it 1 star but don't 'hate' this book, I 'nothing' it which is probably worse! I doubt I'll bother reading it again as have lots of other books I love reading to my little boy. Go for something else instead!
