5.0 out of 5 stars Nostalgia and eccentricity - A heady mix 22 Dec 2003
Format:Audio CD
A beautiful haunting song from probably the most exciting new UK band around. This single was not placed on the brilliant debut album so this single is your only chance to hear it. If you have heard the album The Decline Of British Sea Power this ranks alongside such cuts as Carrion and Lately. If you haven't heard the album or anything from British Sea Power do something about it soon, they are simply the best UK band not called Radiohead. Eccentic and quirky they may well be, including a penchant for shrubbery in their live shows, but musically they are sheer brilliance. The new favourite band of alterantive musos and intellectuals. Don't let the shrubbery, the rare bird fixation or the military references put you off - the songs are simply beautiful.

3.0 out of 5 stars ok i suppose 11 May 2009
Format:Audio CD
Nothing wrong with this but if you're new to bsp just buy one of their albums maybe start at the beginning with the debut "the decline of british sea power" if you don't know what they sound like imagine a kinda cross between the epic rock sound of the manic street preachers and the shouty noisyness of the pixies with just a little pink floydish proggyness in there too. For the connoisseurs out there try finding a copy of "a lovely day tomorrow" another non album single which in my opinion is better than this.
