The Memorex Dual Alarm Clock Radio is about as all-in-one as you can get when it comes to clock radios for the bedroom. As well as the standard clock, alarm and radio, you can also plug in your iPod on top and play music from it through the stereo speakers. It will also charge whilst connected and sync its clock with the iPod's.
Setting up is simple, and the controls on top are intuitive. It's quite a big device, but this means you get OK sound out of the speakers and also a large, clear display. Tuning in the radio is easy and I have found reception to be very good when using the included cable aerial. Two different alarm times can be set-up and you can choose either a buzzer, the radio or your iPod to come on when the alarm is reached.
There is perhaps a slight problem here, in that once the radio or iPod has come on, after a few seconds it ratchets up in volume, presumably to make sure you are awake. I would prefer that it stayed at the lower volume to break me into the day gently, but so far I have not found a setting to achieve that. You can't reduce the volume at the time without turning the unit on and fiddling with controls. By this time you are out of bed....ah, maybe that's the idea. Thankfully, snooze works.
I really like this Memorex, it's easy to use, the radio and iPod connectivity work well and the sound quality is good. I think it's worth a look if you are after a new clock radio.

Hey, it looks like a lunchbox and it is the size of a lunchbox!
My other half leapt upon it when it arrived. He needs to charge his iPhone every night and this has turned out to be far more convenient than scrabbling for leads. You adjust the dial at the top to get the correct angle for your particular iPod/iPhone so the connectors don't get damaged. I can't see that you would want to mess around altering this and risking problems, so it's a one format charger in my opinion- I'll use the old method to charge my iPod nano.
He also set the time by linking to his iPhone, so no irritating button pressing if you don't need to. All I got to set up was Radio 4- the usual trailing FM aerial lead hooked round the back of the sidetable. It took a while to find the station, but it's reasonably clear.
The major joy for me is that the clock is a dimmable orangey neon glow. As a middle aged insomniac, our previous Sony kept me awake if I was in a fitful state with its green strident light. I go back to sleep much faster with this clock!
Although there is a snooze bar, the other half is finding it hard to fumble for the turn-off-NOW switch for the strident alarm in the morning- it's really not prominent enough.
Stylistically I wouldn't have been very wowed by this had I seen it in the shops. As I want it as an alarm, a charger and an occasional radio, I haven't explored all the functions yet- they aren't instantly necessary. So far it's turning out to be a good solid functional piece of kit- and I'm getting some more kip at night!

After reading the reviews about this with regards to the iPhone docking, from here and on other sellers reviews. I didn't really care if it didn't play my songs off my iPhone as the main priority was a good nice clock display, radio wake/sleep and iPhone charge dock.
For the price I paid of under £30 from the other sellers on here, I liked the product considering RRP is around £45+.
Don't forget to plug in the supplied cable aerial for a more extended FM reception. To those who don't like the display to be bright, there's a 7 level control. I like it bright so it never bothers me.
What's more surprising is when charging my iPhone 4S 64GB, not only did it charge but it also played my songs off it as well... it was definitely a bonus, so to those who were wondering, yes this works with the iPhone 4S.
