Just finished this after six hours non stop reading and immediately ordered all other books by this author. Jo offers up his soul to tell us of the trials of a soldier destined to work on a secret project of developing and uitilising superhuman talent to see across space and time, in an attempt to assist security services in the US.
Jo takes us along a journey of his development through a harsh childhood, then an even harsher life in the army which leaves him with the most honed ability in thw world to see what he calls 'target' usually people places or events which threaten the US. All this while being lead into sacrificing his health and normal family life.
The self discipline, commitment and dedication he demonstrates are probably 'standard soldiering' but his integrity, superhuman endurance and commitment to developing his skills for espionage using his psychic abilities goes beyond the call of duty.
Sad indictment on an America which worships money, has little soul or conscience and doesn't mind leaving disabled soldiers to limp along in poverty once thrown out of the army. All those at top government level shold be forced to go through one fraction of what they put soldiers through and then decide whether to go to war.
A human account of a superhuman with amazing paranormal ability to see into the future, possibly into the Kremlin, or even into our palace, when they don't know whose looking, and into situations which enable special forces to carry out otherwise impossible rescue missions.
Jo demonstrates that we do have psychic abilities, but it seems there is a price to pay for developing it, and then there is always the question of morality attached to how we should be forced to use it by unrelenting mercenary forces.......................... Wonder why Joe never located Osama---maybe he did but Bush and Blair wanted a bit more time to spread terror around the world.
