Book Description

Verdera is a planet that consumes the careless, the inexperienced, the weak. Small, confused, and ill-equipped for survival, DUST, is thrown into the vicious chaos of life on Verdera. The oldest of five, she must protect her siblings from the physical threats lurking around every tree, bush and rock. Next in line to rule one of the most technologically advanced civilizations in the galaxy, her father orders her to do her duty and select a mate from those deemed suitable by law. It is a choice that condemns her to a loveless pairing and a life of servitude for the good of her race unless she can use her unique abilities to find another way.

The precious, adventurous Princess!!
It is NOT easy to create a fascinating alien world, so that it is as original as it is unique. Kendrick managed to do it in “Memoirs of the Alien Princess”. Great read, and plenty of brilliant ideas for a movie! The species of the princess? “Windalfluff”. Now, that’s some powerful imagination at work.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the third in a series by Kendrick E. Knight 4 May 2014

Format:Kindle Edition
The first 2 of his books kept me reading till midnight on most nights until I finished reading them. This is the third which explains the history of Dustmopier who was introduced in the first book. These books are great sci-fi and mystery for those who love both. The last book about the alien princess kept me in stitches as I read through all the antics of Dust and her jealous sister. Thanks, I really needed a good laugh!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Novel with Relatable Main Character 13 Dec. 2014
By Trail Runner - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
Sci-fi novels tend to present aliens as humanoids with slightly different foreheads to make them look “spacey”. Not this book. It was a refreshing break to have an alien species that is not shaped or sized even remotely like a human. The tone of the book is good humored and sarcastic. The beginning of the story was my favorite part, as it is a frantic and at times comical race for survival. There is a host of bizarre creatures and situations encountered that were fun to envision. The book then evolves into a story of a young alien princess with a tomboy streak about a mile wide struggling through military college and undergoing a host of relatable challenges. A sibling rivalry that gets out of hand. Arguing with her well meaning parents about who she needs to grow up to be. All of which is shaped by an episode of adolescent mischief that spiraled completely out of control. Then the main character heads to the stars and just ends up in even more trouble. I had a lot of fun with this book. I’ll definitely be checking out other additions in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Strange, easy, humorous, fun read 10 Dec. 2014
By Amanda - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition
I was hoping for a more conclusive ending...given that I rarely read series books, but overall I was satisfied with where Dust's journey left off.

This is a unique kind of feel good book that will leave your mind creating images that you could never come up with all on your own. It is strange in a good kind of way and the character interactions are amusing and frustrating and all that is true of "human" nature. I appreciated the lighthearted feeling that followed reading it as compared to the doom and gloom that you are left with after similar type reads.

All in all, I would recommend this book to anyone looking for something unique, fun and creative.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Alien Princess that will make you laugh 20 April 2015
By E. Kerley - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a wonderful book to read before the Nick Blade books. It is not a true prequel but explains a lot that will make the Nick Blade book even more enjoyable. This book has characters that grow in maturity and some will make you laugh. It's a book that is unlike books I read in the past and I'm glad I gave it a try.

A great book to read right before you go to sleep! The princess is inseparable from her otherworldly surroundings and after a while you develop genuine feelings for her and everything that takes place. Her mystic and fragrant world is full of wonders and takes the reader away on a unique journey.
