It was circa 66-68 and always a source of frustration for my late sister in law & I that Newark,USA born Madeline Bell who had by then re-located to the UK backed Dusty Springfield with PP Arnold and had a string of near misses with some outstanding singles, could not as hard as she tried break the uk charts. However late in 1969 her fortunes changed when she was part of a super-group called Blue Mink which she fronted. The international hit Melting Pot meant that Blue Mink were on their way and finally Madeline received the success she deserved. The whole band were outstanding musicians and songwriters and their quality shows on this fine offering at a snip of a price. Covers 1979-1974 and is a must collection to own.
