Once in awhile you stumble accross an artist where you go "why don't folks know who they are?" Brass Bed to me is one of those kinds of bands. They make catchy songs ala' Delta Spirit or Dr. Dog where after a few spins, their tunage is crawing around in your skull and will be there to stay for a long long time. The entire album blends slower songs with more upbeat items to even include one "rocker".
To me, i also hear a bit less mainstream Rooney to their style of music as well. (a better songwriting Rooney?)
One of modern era of old school sounding pop worth giving a listen!
