You've probably heard the title track of this EP, at least, so you can make your own mind up about that. I like it a lot so I bought it on 12". It's a good song, the other songs are good too (as useful as one subjective opinion is on such matters). Beware that one song is presented in two mixes, so you're only really getting three different songs. In fact both versions of "Do you wanna man?" have a silly "scratchy record" sound on them, which had me examining my stylus for a while. I also have to report two bad things about the actual vinyl.
1. The hole is too small! I literally couldn't get it onto the spindle of my Project turntable. Whoever produced the record needs to change their drill bit, or whatever they use. Unicorn horn possibly. Had to open out the hole with a little tool on my penknife. Now the record isn't quite 100% centered so there's a smidgin of side-to-side movement when you watch the stylus (which is what I do when listening to records).
2. (This is a bizarrely common problem I've noticed with 12" singles and EPs.) They've printed the wrong speed on the label. It says "33 1/3rpm" but it most definitely sounds better at 45. I've crossed out 33 and written 45 in pencil.
On the plus side, it's one of the only brand new 12" records I've bought this year that isn't slightly warped.
That's all. Bye!
