Husband likes filter coffee, which is fine with me, but he manages to make quite a mess using his regular coffee maker. There have been quite a few arguments over spilled grains, over my beautiful work surface and around the work top bin area, which drive me mad. And I can get LOUD when I get mad! So to prevent more arguments I bought these to use with a porcelain filter. They are IDEAL! No mess, no stray grains, no arguments. He was reluctant at first as, well, he is a man, and he doesn't like change, but I insisted, and now that he has seen the error of his ways, he's actually, grudgingly, accepted that it is indeed quite good. Hah! It is brilliant. The pouches don't break, they filter the coffee just fine, and they contain the mess. It is helpful to give the bad a little squeeze just to get the last drops of coffee out before discarding. This ensures NO mess. Now, how do I get him to stop spilling the sugar? Sigh!
