My son uses this large pad for painting and we love it. The paper is thick enough to handle a three-year-old boy's painting style -- LOTS of paint and water. I have not tried it on an easel; we use it on the floor.

Great pad. A good size for painting. I place it on the table and then turn the pad when my son has used one side. He loves the big paper and it dries well if you like putting the pics on the wal afterwards.
