I chose this Pirate Chest because it looked sturdy , my Grandson who is five years can be heavy handed ,three months later its still in one piece.
Inspired by the people that hid theirs in the snow ,I filled the Pirate Chest with old jewellery ,an old silver cup (from friends and charity shops )and chocolate coins .
My daughter made a map and hid the chest in the garden . Great fun was had by all tracking it down and my granson was thrilled with the Pirate Chest and contents which also included two old donated watches. It really looked like a hidden treasure chest.

We have received the pirate's chest and were surpised to see that it's actually grey - not the "wooden" look in the main image. The second image shows the actual colour. It looks fine - just not as woody as I expected. Seems quite sturdy though.

This is a really nice treasure chest. Very nicely made with lots of details to make it look like the real thing. It is a greaying colour not the wood colour I was expecting but I don't think this is a big proble. The padlock scull is absolutely lovely. The chest is not too big or too small. Its just the right size for little pirates to hide their treasure inside. There is even a hidden area at the bottom of the chest. The accessories that come with it are ok but even with them inside its rather empty. I had to buy extra coins, jewels and a treasure map to add to it.
Thinking with my head I would say overall it is a bit expensive for what you get (maybe £15 would be a more representative price). On the other hand I can't put a price on seeing my sons reaction when he found it, opened it and started going through all his treasure. Great success!

My son loves this pirate chest and plays with it every day. It's very durable (he's very rough with toys and has had it for a month!) and looks great. Well worth the money.
