Fun:
I bought this to complement the Mel B wii game. I had previously used those cup things that sit under the board, (useless). The step riser comes in 3 pieces. 2 steps and a bit that attaches to the 2 steps, which you then put under your board (it rests on the circle indents on the board). The board is raised by 4 inches and is very secure. Brilliant bit of exercise kit.

Fun:
I have being doing the step plus workout in Wii Fit most nights for the past month. I felt I needed a bit more of a challenge so I brought this riser at the same time as buying Mel B's get fit game.
I have to say that I am a little dissapointed in it's performance in conjunction with Wii fit step routines. I totally agree that it enables you to have a more energetic workout but it does not register all of the moves you make and it gets a bit annoying, especially the kick moves.
Overall, great if you just want an extra element to make your workouts harder. Not so great if you strive to beat your last score all the time and "perfect" moves become a thing of the past.
PS. Haven't yet used it in conjunction with the Mel B workout as I am still trying to get the hang of it....boy does she go fast!

Fun:
After looking at various risers for the wii fit I opted for the Mel B/fitness first version and I am happy to say I am really pleased with it.
It's very easy to put together, 3 parts just click together, no tools needed and feels very stable when in use. I have only used on carpet, so cant vouch for how good the rubber feet are for use on a hard surface.
Have only used with the 'wii plus step' as of yet, but it really helped increase the workout.
As mentioned in another review dont do your body stats/weight on the riser though. I did and it told me i had lost 1stone 9 since yesterday - it might make you feel good for five minutes but obviously wrong!
The riser is at the cheaper end of market for this type of thing which can be off putting to some, but it really does do all you need it to do and I dont think spending any more would give you any added benefit

step riser works really well
This product works well and definitely increases the workout of step routines , a good buy. It is sturdy and doesn't move around when being used on a carpet.
