I've been meaning to get some shakers for a while (I've been using a single maraca, which looks a bit daft on stage!). These are just great -- I can shake them with a closed hand and they make a fantastic sound, and are very light and comfortable. Only thing is that I can't tell the difference between the 'loud' and 'very loud' ones, but I find that to be an advantage as I can use them interchangeably.

These are fantastic. Brought them to use at acoustic gigs and they do the job. They all sound different and are handy little shakers to carry round. Worth the money.

Great products and very cheap. A must have for the percussionists kit. The different dynamics on each shaker really come across.

These are the best egg shakers I've ever used. They're labelled on the back:
white = 'soft'
grey = 'medium'
red = 'loud'
black = 'extra loud'

For studio recording I prefer the white one, but for stage the grey or red are preferable for me. They're really good quality - I've dropped them several times but they still look as good as new!

These eggs are superb quality. Although made of two halves, the plastic is thick enough and the join solid enough that I have no fear of them splitting, and I suspect they could take quite a lot of rough treatment.

The medium, loud and very loud eggs are quite similar in the sound they make, just more harsh towards the very loud end. The soft shaker is completely different - probably filled with sand instead of what sounds like grit in the others. It makes a wonderful shhhhh sound that is very easy to control - my favourite by far, although maybe too quiet for playing with too many other instruments; it would be perfect for home/studio recording where you can control the levels.

These eggs are great to have at jam sessions where there are people who don't play and instrument - anyone can grab one of these and join in.

These shakers are advertised as having 'four sounds'. This is incorrect. They have four dynamic levels (volume) of the same sound. The sounds are not different. The four levels are white - soft; grey - medium; red - loud; black - extra loud.

My wife and I bought these for our grandson. We understood from the description that 'four sounds' implied four different kinds of sound, or perhaps four different tones. Hence two stars only.

That said, the shakers are attractive to look at and easy to use.

Bought for my 10 month old baby who likes things that makes sounds. She has maracas but these seemed different and interesting. Shes not so interested though, but she does shake or bang them together at times but they look well made and trendy. They make a good sound when thrown in the air too - nice colours with sound labels on each one. Little smaller than expected but thats a good thing for little hands! Thryre not really small - just smaller than what i thought

The best egg shakers I have found which I use regularly in function bands. Each egg is marked at a certain volume and you can really tell the difference between them, making it easy to select the right egg for the right job. I find it really easy to get a good groove out of these as the 'shaky' material inside is very responsive. Other musicians always assumes I must have spent a lot of money on these. What a steal!
