The description is not very clear, I thought it was a dimming bulb that you could use with a dimmer switch - it isn't!
This bulb has to be used with an ordinary switch and by flicking the switch on and off you can reduce the brightness in 4 steps.
I am sure it does this wonderfully but it is of no use to me.
