I first came into contact with Megadeth through the Rust in Piece Album. This series of videos comes from the bands early days up to that period in their history. This is a re-release I guess from an earlier VHS video and as such is just a copy of that. Don't let that put you off though as all the Videos on this DVD are worth having for MD fans. It comes with little in the way of extras but of course you can skip to any part of the video you like just like a CD. The first three songs are Peace Sells, Wake Up Dead and In My Darkest Hour. All have Dave Mustaine and David Ellefson giving insights into the recording of the Videos. The fourth track is a cover of the Sex pistols Anarchy In The UK. I'm not sure about this track being a MD track at all and it smacks of record company interference but there is some good animation in the video. The final two tracks are from the Rust In Piece Album and are the best songs and Videos. If Megadeth had been around in the sixties they would have been dubbed a protest band. The lyrics come out against war and all it's foolishness. As it is they are the band that along with Metallica founded a sub-genre in Rock music for this they deserve your attention.
