Product Description

After a species of giant python invades the everglades, the obvious choice is for park workers to breed mutant gators to counter the threat. But things start to go very wrong when the megapythons and gatoroids start thrashing it out on the street. Can 80s pop sensations Tiffany and Debbie Gibson save the state of Florida before being savagely massacred? It's unlikely.

A hokey plot, insane science and a cat fight between two 80's teeny-poppers (in evening dresses). All the elements for a show stoppingly good-bad movie. Watch it- it is a great way to spend an evening.

mega python vs gatoroid 20 April 2012
Format:DVD
before i start, would someone please tell me exactly what a gatoroid is? lol. i love creature features and b movies like the rest, but the way characters behave in this is rediculous. i can forgive debbie gibsons character, because she is one of those eco warriors, and they are usually not playing with a full deck, but who elected tiffanys character to be a sherrif in the first place? i appreciate that she is upset at one point due to the death of her fiancee, but what possessed her to feed growth hormone to the local gator population? i guess the fate of anyone visiting the park is secondary next to getting revenge on the snakes!!!! speaking of tiffany, is that really the same tiffany i remember from back in her pop princess days? time hasn,t been kind to her weight wise has it?

Another in The Asylum's superb collection of mega-creature features and although nowhere near as good as their Mega-Shark gems it is still great fun.
Eco warrior Dr Nikki Riley (Debbie Gibson) releases a captive python from an animal testing lab, time passes... the local gator population starts to decline and Sheriff Terry O'Hara (another former singer Tiffany Darwish) puts a ban on hunting gators much to the annoyance of a ragtag bunch of local hunters.
When a gator is attacked and killed by a large snake Sheriff Tiff declares open season on snakes.
Not wanting to give too much away but when the snakes start to chomp their way through the local population Tiff comes up with a novel solution (the clue is in the title).
From thereon in it's good old fashioned fun as the mega-beasts head towards a local nuclear power station and our heroes try to stop them.
The CGI effects are bargain basement but to be honest that suits the movie well. The script is purposefuly cliche-ridden with some knowing nods to the two former pop idol leads and even a nod towards Jaws.
The cat-fight between former pop rivals Tiffany and Debbie Gibson as they demolish the banquet at a fundraiser as former Monkee Mickey Dolenz looks on is far better than the vast majority of the monster bouts.
The downside is there are no extras other than a trailer but selling at well under a fiver it's pretty good value and if your sense of humour can cope with a movie that is played solely for laughs this mindless monster mash may be right up your street.
