4.0 out of 5 stars very funky fellows 12 Aug 2005
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
here we have a very different album from a quite fantastic band. im guessing that you too heard tonite the stars revolt first as did i, but if youre expecting the same again you will be disappointed as this is the sound of a much funkier and groove based band. the riffs are still there just with a little more restraint and the verses are allowed to grab you and make you want to dance, it sounds so different to their other stuff its hard to believe its the same band but give this album a chance, its not as immediate a rush as tonite is but if you give it a chance its well worth the wait. but that said though im convinced that transform is the best powerman album, so by that account go buy that first then if you really wanna buy this one aswell and youll be a happy little bunny like i am.

Dont be put off by other reviews. This is different from TTSR and not as good. But that dosent mean it is a bad album and Public menace freak human fly is totally their best song

3.0 out of 5 stars Hmmm... Not as good as it could be i s'pose... 4 April 2001

Format:Audio CD
I guess if you've aready heard the fantastic 'Tonight the Stars Revolt' album, then this will seem a bit of a dissapointment, but in it's own right, it is still a pretty good album, just PM5K changed their sound quite considerably between 'Mega Kung fu radio' and 'The Stars Revolt..', the whole album is pretty good, but i wouldn't reccommend it if you've heard thier latest album and are looking for soemthing with the same sound...

5.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected. 21 April 2000
By A. Estes - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
First off, I'll admit, I was one of the people who bought Tonight the Stars Revolt first. But then I was flipping through CD's at Circuit City and I came across this. I always knew it had existed but it had been so hard for me to find a copy. Well needless to say, this is NOTHING like TTSR. It is a fun blend of Rap/Metal/funk. This could of been the band to ruin Kid Rock's career. But, their new sound is just as welcome. favorite songs are: Organizized, Car Crash, Neckbone, Earth Vs. Me, 20 Miles To Texas, 25 To Hell, and Tokyo Vigilante No 1. Buy this cd if you are a fan of White Zombie or eben the "new" Powerman 5000. This is quite a gem to have.

5.0 out of 5 stars You get the head, the tail, the whole damm thing 7 Jun 1999

While I admit that I bought this cd sans hearing it, due to Spider being Rob's bro, I soon forget the connection entirely. PM5K are different from Rob's projects in so many ways, while the influence can still be picked out. This has easily become one of my favourite albums of all time. I like this band so much, I named my fantasy wrestler after them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply flat-out awesome! 30 Dec 1999
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
This CD is great! I bought their new album, Tonight The Stars Revolt! and thought it was awesome. Then I bought True Force and this one, and thought they were both awesome. The music is very original, with a direct combination of rap, funk, and hard rock in every song. The best songs are Public Menace, Freak, Human Fly; Organizized; Car Crash; Earth vs. Me; Tokyo Vigilante #1; and Standing 8. There's also a hidden track called File Under Action after Even Superman Shot Himself. Public Menace, Freak, Human Fly is the best song on the album. The lyrics are funny and the chorus is really thrashy. This CD is cool as it addresses various fictious and factual topics such as superheroes, Asia, global chaos, circus freaks, maniacs, car crashes, shark attacks, and other things. I'm actually starting to like PM5K's action rock style more than their disco metal style that they show in the new album. Don't expect this album to be exactly like Tonight The Stars Revolt, but it is still worth the buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great band-Great Disc-GET IT NOW! 16 April 2000
By Cathy Gallagher - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Hey there, this cd rocks. The band rocks. This will be a great addition to TTSR for you true fans. The CD has it's moments, and I think Mega Kung Fu Radio! is one of the better songs. PM5K is the band and the sound of the new millennium. I got a chance to meet them one time, and they are really great guys. Pick up the disc now, and play it loud! It's awesome. Thanks. Check out my other reviews, and let me know what you think.
