1.0 out of 5 stars Too American, 6 Jan 2008

The toy is too American and does not recognise your voice well. It doesn't have much knowlege about wales and UK, but has loads of facts about America. Its also very annoying! The keypad is also too sensitive which makes it hard to type the simplest of words.

My son was crying today as the voice recognition would not recognise 'off' so Brian kept chatting. Its the biggest waste of money ever!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not much good, 28 Dec 2007

Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
My son wanted this but it's not very good and he has not found it much good. The voice recognition is very, very poor, it has not been converted from American english, dates etc so using the phrases at School would get 0 points in a test (try French Royalty for a laugh). The MP3 playback on ours does not work either.
I'd suggest anyone trys at length before buying.....ours will be on ebay shortly.

Worst Xmas present of 2007.

1.0 out of 5 stars UK version needed., 22 Mar 2009

Durability:2.0 out of 5 stars Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
It works by recognizing voice...trouble is, it only recognizes American accents.

Some MP3's have trouble playing for some unknown reason.

It knows next to nothing about anything else other then America even though it has the Encyclopedia BRITANNICA stuffed into it.

So, good concept? Hell yeah, but let down by poor implementation. My advice? 1. Shoot the person who was dumb enough to send it to the UK and 2. Don't buy it.
