It's fun and an opportunity to spend some time toghether (smurfs are widely known by both children and parents).
Bricks always train creativity, coordination and rational thinking.
Plastic quality seems good enough to last for mary hours of building and dismantling activities.
In a nut shell, good fun potential and for sure better than the average.
Small parts present: not suitable for children under 3 years and it's likely necessary an adult supervision for building activities if children are 6 years old or less.

This toy was bought for my smurf crazy 4 year old son for Christmas, and within seconds it was causing frustration. It falls apart if you so much as touch it, and we ended up having to pin it all down with Lego, onto a green lego base just to keep it slightly still. The wheel falls over, the windmill falls off it, it's just the biggest waste of money ever. I would not advise anyone to purchase this.

In defense of the overall product, I have to say it is NOT that poorly made. I am a true toy critic as my job challenges toys as a therapist daily. My son is almost 6 and builds with Legos often. He is used to playing with the toys he's built gently. This toy is easy to assemble with variations to enhance the imagination. The Smurf figures themselves are well made and do not fall apart. The Smurf houses are cute with thoughtful little doors and windows. They come apart easily which may be frustrating for little ones, but older children will easily put them together again, and they are meant to come apart anyway. It is a building toy that is meant to be played with and will need to be built again if imaginations get a bit wild...I am writing this review so parents know not to dismiss this toy entirely. I was not sure if this was a wise purchase but I'm glad I gave it a chance. Go Mega Block Smurfs!

Great concept - kids love the smurfs! But quality is poor - pieces don't stay together so the kids spend more time trying to keep it together than enjoying it. Stick to LEGO if you're looking for a building toy!!
