My 5 year old has now got most of these CAT series of toys - beware once they have one they will want them all! He got the first one when he was 4 and 1/2 and still plays with them loads. They are good because there are loads of possibilites of other vehicles that they can make if they have one or more other ones - there is a leaflet with pictures of what else they can make. I have only rated 3 stars for educational value as for my 5 year old he is doing reading etc now but it would be suitable for a 3 year old and more valuable educationally for that age. I don't want him to grow out of his diggers just yet; I think they move onto Power Rangers, Spiderman and all things that fight next!
