The opening track is tight and pedestrian, but ultimately a pleasant track. From then on, however, things get quite leaden. Anyone familiar with the work of the genius that is Bertrand will recognise most of these tracks, as they have appeared in recordings by he and his affiliates. I can't really work out why BB felt it necessary to re-record these songs. Even the addition of the legendary Count Indigo cannot save the deadening of Sugar, once made so beautiful and untouchable on Chrominance Decoder by the incredible April March. Perhaps if this is your introduction to BB you might suffer the recency effect and prefer these recordings to his others but I was sadly a bit dissapointed.
