As the title suggests, this is a really practical guide. It covers all the common issues that make meetings less effective than they could be, explains why these issues occur and what can be done to deal with them - or even stop them from happening in the first place! As an experienced facilitator, I found it really helped structure my thinking around what I am already doing well, and what I can improve.

I have been involved in business meetings for years and generally find them frustrating and a waste of time. This book sets out some really effective tools and techniques to get your meetings back where they should be and really delivering results. The book is clearly written by someone with lots of experience and I can relate to many of the practical scenarios covered. Highly recommended.
