Medium was tucked away at the end of the day, firstly on BBC1 then on BBC2. It seems strange that the BBC do not know quite what to do with superior US series (they messed about with the superb 'Monk' until no one ever quite new what day/time it would be on).

Medium is based on the experiences of a real life medium. The show is finely balanced between her work with the police and her family life. This is great TV and far better than some of the dross currently on the 'box'.

I think (again like Monk), if this series had been bought by 5, then it would be as popular as CSI (except the dire Miami) and NCIS.

So, if you missed this and the other seasons, catch up with this fine boxset.

ps. Kelsey Grammer (yes, Frasier) is one of the executive producers.

I love this show. Season two was just as good as Season one. I think the plot is great. Alison working in the District attorney's office, helping solve crimes keeps me in suspense.

Some of the episodes were pretty gory, particularly episode 19, Knowing her.

I liked episode 18 S.O.S where Bridget has to do a class presentation explaining what her mum does. I adore Bridget, and really got a better sense of her this season.

The show continues to demonstrate how challenging it is living with a medium, and how accomodating Joe Dubois is. I am looking forward to Season three.

Having watched series one of Medium on Sky, I loved it! So I had to buy the next series on dvd and it didn't disappoint!
It's such brilliant writing and acting by all cast members, This is my favourite series (having only watched 1-3 so far)
Some of my favourite episodes include:

The Song Remains the Same- Alison has the song 'I Will Survive' stuck in her head and it leads her to a missing girl. This episode is so cleverly written.

Method to His Madness- Absolutely fantastic episode where a psychotic serial killer gets into Allison's head and shows her how he chooses his victims.

When Push Comes To Shove Part 2- Great ending to the previous series last episode cliff hanger.

Time Out of Mind- Another great episode of another "Allison Dubois" in actual fact a mental patient from the 1950's undergoing inhumane treatment, claiming to be the present day Allison.

Sweet Dreams- Flashbacks of a Teenage Allison, which ties into the disappearance of the daughter of Devalos friend.

Dead Aim- Allison dreams of the DA staff being slaughtered, and Watt brings in a rival psychic.

If you haven't watched Medium before, I suggest you give it a watch you'll be hooked in no time!

Yet another brilliantly written and acted season, this has to be one of the best shows to come out of the states for years and certainly surpasses anything home produced. If your familiar with the show then you know what i mean. Can wait for season 3.

The award winning Patricia Arquette returns with a smash in this 22 strong box set as Allison DuBois.
After series 1 ended with a heart wrenching finale - series 2 is back with a bang where we last left our favourite medium.
Allison uses her gift to help solve anti-terrorism, murder, and a whole new element in her world - the brilliantly dark angel of death! (Kelsey Grammer). With new characters surfacing and darkness threatening her sanity and family Allison must find the strength and courage to fight back as well as keeping everything running at home! The second series is equally as brilliant as the first and with six more episodes for you're money this really is a must have item.

Series highlights (spoilers)
A woman from the 1950's calls herself Allison DuBois and our medium is caught in a sticky situation
`Sweet Dreams' - a brilliant episode for every reason
Allison resembles a psychotic killer after he has left....
Allison's second daughter Bridgette (Maria Lark) speaks to the dead

Im really enjoying watching this series, not too scary, not too blah, a bit
of humor thrown in makes it really good viewing..

What surprises me is that Alison and Joe are still married..! I cant imaging
what it must be like for Alison's husband, it must be tough.. There are
occasional signs of strain like for example arguments starting to escalate,
one or both parties feeling bad..

Its good how they seem to diffuse tense situations by throwing in a bit
of humor when things start to get heated..

Its interesting to see their children developing their mothers talents..
Wonder how that will turn out?

Patricia Arquette is brilliant and very believable, expressing the character
(Alison) with passion and conviction..

I only started watching the series after they'd already filmed 1 to 4 and was quickly addicted so have gradually bought the series on DVD. Now my daughter's an addict too. Such a different concept to anything else I've seen and I love the fact there is a real Allison Dubois out there!

When I watched the first series I must confess to being a little irritated. However as the series progressed I became absorbed in the stories and the fine balance between psychic work and home life. What a fine balance. By the end of the first series I was hooked. I could not wait for the second to arrive. To my delight the episodes seem to get better and better. Good police work, psychic insights and good old fashioned home drama are the name of the game. each story is complete and has twists and turns which generally keep you guessing. Excellent entertainment for anyone who enjoys a mystery .
