Received this book and the very similar Tropical Modern as welcome Xmas gifts. Both books are spectacular examples of the classic, modern, geometrical style of homes. Featuring lots of swimming pools, open spaces, glass and cement, they are pleasing to the palette; their clean lines form impressive silhouettes rearing out of the surrounding milieu, in a spectacular contrast of nature and man-made.
Some have elevation plans, some floor plans or area plans, few have all. There's really no need for both these coffee-table books unless you are a designer, architect, avid collector or similar.

If you like the pic on the cover of this book, then you will like the other houses featured.
Contains stunning photos of immaculate homes around the Med. This is a coffee table book that I leaf through every now and again and think of getting away from it all. It's not for reading so much as dreaming

This is a good book for readers who are looking for architectural floor plan examples and extensive pictures of mediterranean architectural work. This book also has good architectural concept explanations and their impact on the physical structures built. It also gives a comprehensive discourse on the nature of mediterranean architecture, it's influences and motivations. I recommend this book for anyone who is looking to build a mediterranean-style structure and is looking for inspiration, ideas or finished-product examples.

This book was featured in an issue of Dwell magazine some time ago. I thought I would like to acquire a copy some day, then forgot to look for it in stores. I am in the cabinet design business, and have also lived in the mediterranean, so wanted to see what was featured in this book. Mediterranean Modern blends my favorite design style with my favorite region of the world and includes beautiful photos and editorial on each home.

This book is a spectacular example of the classic modern style of homes that are so pleasing to the palette. The very homes whose clean lines melt right into the surrounding milieu inviting you to come join in this union of nature and man-made. Make this master of texts a great addition to your library. I'm very glad that I did!
