This is the most practical, simple and inspiring meditation guidebook you could hope for as a beginner. I ordered mine a couple of years ago and keep going back to it to help me. As he says, really helps calm all that useless mind chatter and stop you fixating on 'past arguments and embarassments, vain wishes and longings, on unproductive fantasies'. Hope this book never goes out of print. Beautifully produced...buy several!

This book is a useful overview of meditation practices and there is plenty of variety. It is easy to read and user friendly. Worth the money.

Very Usefull 14 May 2011

Just needed some inspiration to enrich my meditation practice, and there it was. A small, handy book containing a lot of exercises all of them written in a short comprehensive and enlightening way, covering a lot of things that I want to work with as mindfulness, lovingkindness, contemplation etc. Many thanks.
