Mediation is a new thing I'm getting into, even though I'm a fitness and health nut. This book has been very helpful to me and added a lot to my still clumsy meditation routines. It is quick and to the point and doesn't force you to read through 200 pages of filler material. Consequently, it has a great price. I like it.

Prescott's book is short and to the point with several ways to perform meditation. He also explains the several types of meditation in understandable terms. 'Traditional' poses, sitting on a cushion or chair, standing, even walking are all meditation variants one can try to discover what works best for you; with or with out calming music or chants or affirmations. The key is (1) try different methods to find which is/are most comfortable for you, and (2) give it enough time to become a habit; he recommended a couple of months at one point in the book.

I am a total beginner and for even me there was almost zero instruction and not one thing that was helpful. I am not even sure the author did more than google for a few minutes to base this book on. This was a booklet filled with shallow statements designed to make people feel smug about saying they meditate. 3 dollars isn't much but I still felt ripped off.

You can be stress free with the help of this book. This is very informative, easy to read and understand. It is highly recommended to everyone especially to all mom's out there. Many people doesn't know how to relieve their stress. This is one of the answer, just read the book, apply and somehow you will become OK. Recommended.

This book is an excellent resource for anyone who is just starting out in meditation. The author goes into detail about various techniques and describes greatly what meditation is about including its benefits. He also talks about various styles of meditation and helps you choose which one is going to work best for the reader. It's a great handbook for anyone getting started! Highly recommended for those who are interested in meditation.
