Mainstream medicine is increasingly willing to embrace massage as a supportive treatment for people diagnosed with cancer, however, unfortunately, there are still many 'myths' out there in the massage world that 'massage spreads the cancer' and so there is a climate of fear which the practitioner on the ground may encounter the first time she or he embarks on the possibility of working hands on with a client who is diagnosed with cancer.
