Review

"...this book is a good companion for any medical student who is preparing for oral examinations."

– Doody′s Review Services

Product Description

This book is intended to help medical students with their preparations for medical short case examinations, and through this process enhance the depth and breadth of their knowledge of clinical medicine as well as their clinical skills. Though particularly useful to students sitting their final clinical exams, it will also be of interest to more junior students, particularly those who face medical short case clinical exams in their early clinical years. It aims to be useful whether the exam format is traditional or in more modern variations such as the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for Medical Short Case Finals, 16 July 2005
By A Customer
This review is from: Medical Short Cases for Medical Students (Paperback)
This is an excellent resource for clinical finals (both med and surg) as it goes through most of the clinical scenarios that could turn up and emphasises their presentation and the signs to look for. It is possibly more detailed than medical finals necessitates but it's always good to be armed with extra knowledge and it has some snippets of wisdom that I'd not read elsewhere.
It is not inspiring in its presentation however its content is excellent with some good (B&W) clinical photos. It is sparse on management so for those who will be questioned after the clinical examination, some extra information will be necessary.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good pal to medical students, 11 April 2002
By C. S - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Medical Short Cases for Medical Students (Paperback)
Personally I think it's a good book to prepare medical students for short cases. The only thing that minus is the photos inside the book are in black and white, which could be better if posted in color format.
