Product Description

Product Description

This book provides in one concise volume the entire range of radiographic positioning and techniques - the fundamental concepts of radiography which all students and professionals must understand. Uniquely, it combines this essential core knowledge with a reflective approach. The editors have brought together contributions from radiographers, radiography lecturers, radiologists and other experts from the commercial sector of medical imaging, all selected for their clinical and academic expertise. The authors have been comprehensive, thorough and innovative. This well-presented book should be adopted by Schools of Diagnostic Imaging in Europe and elsewhere and be a constant companion to the reflective radiographic practitioner. (From the foreword by Patrick Brennan)

Excellent book - bit pricey, but it covers everything - all the imaging modalities, positioning, physics, contrast studies etc. etc.

Excellent book for teaching purposes. Excellent presentation of technique (positioning of patient, cassette, centring point) and critique of images. Very thorough.

Recommended highly! 30 Oct 2011
Format:Hardcover
As a first year student i have found this book to be of great help for positioning, for definitions, as well as for my first physics module. Where it was necessary to understand terms such as density and to have a knowledge of how x-ray photons interact with matter. The use of radiographs and real person images is very helpful to have along side each other as well.
I have only had this book for 3 weeks or so but i will continue to use it !
Cons: price
