I am a journalist working in the field of local government and business. I have read the second edition of Media Law and have found it to be much better than the first. The narrative is easy-to-read and complex legal principles are fully explained. The book helps me with my work, especially legality of content, on a daily basis. It is more up-to-date than any other work. Diagrams could be clearer but are very useful. I recommend it at the price!! Paul Robertson

Media law, By Peter Carey, a provides sharp, succint guide to the law for journalists in bitesize, easy to digest chunks. The text is clearer, better and much easier ot understand than other, complicated books about media law. It uses diagrams to explain things, re-enforcing ideas on the page, free from complicated jargon. An excellent book for trainee journalists.
