Don't buy this,

This item is not worth buying. First thing in the morning, I was expecting milk to be flowing into the bottle, but all I was getting with this was a slow drip, and not even a steady one. It was stopping for ages, and then dripping five times and then stopping. Unlike with the original shield, you can't see what's coming out of your nipple, so I had no idea what was going on. The suction felt the same as the original shield, but didn't have anything like the results, plus it chafed on my nipple and left a red sore patch on it that lasted for several hours. It was also much slower. I barely got 2oz from the first breast, whereas I usually get more like 4oz. So I switched back to the old shield, which was warped and had a hole in it, and still managed to get 10oz overall. Cleaning it, my husband found it very difficult to separate the parts, and felt that the pressure he needed to exert to do so would soon result in him tearing the shield. This was under running water, which the instructions assert "acts as oil". It didn't for us!
I was not at all impressed with this product, and have only given it 1 star because I can't give it 0. Only buy if you have a lot of patience, a lot of time and are having problems with the original shield provided with the Medela Swing. There are other sites that sell two of the original shield for the same price as this one. We have now bought this again, and it's fab.

I purchased the medela comfort shield when the original shield that came my with medela swing pump became damaged. It was much more comfortable to use than the standard breast shield and did not affect my expressing rate. Would highly recommend.

poor suction power,

The suction power is significantly less than that provided by the original breastshiels, resulting in much less milk removed. I bought it to have another sterilized breastshield to bring to work - now I only use the original breastshield and Medela Quick Clean Micro-Steam Bags.
